The Sea-Doo XP is a personal watercraft produced by Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP), now known as BRP-Sea-Doo. The XP model was first introduced in 1991 and was considered a high-performance model, with its advanced hull design and upgraded engine. The Sea-Doo XP was designed for riders who wanted speed, maneuverability, and an exhilarating experience on the water.
The XP’s hull design incorporated a V-shaped bottom that created a smoother ride even in choppy waters. Its handlebars allowed riders to easily control the craft’s movements, while its comfortable, contoured seat provided added stability and balance. Its powerful engine produced up to 110 horsepower, making it one of the fastest personal watercrafts of its time.
Over the years, the Sea-Doo XP underwent several upgrades and changes, including the addition of the Sea-Doo XP Limited model in 1998, which featured a forward-storage compartment, new handlebar design, and a new steering system. However, production of the Sea-Doo XP and all two-stroke models ceased in 2007 due to environmental concerns related to two-stroke engines. Today, Sea-Doo offers a variety of personal watercraft models that are designed to meet modern environmental standards.
